the process
initial consultation
An initial consultation would take place, ideally on the proposed site. Measurements would be taken, sketches drawn and/or photographs taken. Our aim at this initial meeting is to draw from you, your aspirations for your new garden. After discussions concerning personal taste, proposed usage for your garden - perhaps you would like to do a lot of entertaining - or maybe you need us to create a quiet contemplative spot for you. We can provide samples of some of the range of materials available for hard landscaping, including decking, paving, timber, gravel or cobbles, so that colour choices can be made.
Another aspect to this initial consultation is that we could take you to visit a completed site to demonstrate examples of materials choices, and also give us an opportunity to show you that we can fulfil our promises.
We could also propose alternatives available within a specific budget.
Following this initial consultation, we would provide you with a detailed cost estimate, with separate phases of the work priced separately and accordingly.
All of this initial consultation process is providedcompletely free of charge.
project management
We feel that it is important to provide our clients with dedicated project management. So that clients can consistently have contact throughout the process with one person who not only knows the client, their site, but also knows the project inside out and the clients' aspirations for the site.
To this end, leading the construction team is Kieron Shepherd in his role as Landscape Contracts Manager. His aim is to manage the construction team on a day to day basis, ensure the smooth running of the project and to complete on time and within budget.
Kieron is highly skilled, not only in terms of his experience in running his own landscape design and construction business in London. He also has an artistic background, in that he holds a BA (Hons) degree in Spatial Design: Interior and Landscape from Falmouth College of Arts.
construction team
The ‘Team' ethic is a strong theme throughout the Company. We have a proven track record in terms of successfully completed projects. These successes spur our workforce on to continue to produce outstanding work.
The permanent workforce that comprises the construction team have all been very carefully selected, according to their skills and experience. We also have a number of skilled people whom we have used on a temporary basis. All of this workforce is classed as our Landscape Construction Team, whether permanent or temporary. They are all highly motivated and skilled.
We think it is important that our projects are planned so that we make sure that each site can retain its core team for the duration of that project, with possibly the addition of temporary team members if necessary. This is so that our clients can be sure of a level of consistency throughout the project. The on-site workers also have the advantage of detailed knowledge of the site, the project, and the clients' aspirations along with supervision by the Landscape Contracts Manager.
